Zero Delivery Bike Accidents in Ajman Over Six Months
The Ajman Police General Headquarters has achieved an unprecedented milestone in road safety, attaining “zero accidents” for delivery bikes over the past six months. This achievement follows the awareness campaign “Safe Path,” launched by the Traffic and Patrols Department in 2025, aimed at enhancing traffic awareness and road safety. Achieving zero delivery bike accidents in Ajman not only reflects the success of the campaign but also the commitment of the local community to traffic laws.
Achievements of the Awareness Campaign
Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Hamid Bin Hindi, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ajman Police, confirmed that the campaign resulted in a significant reduction in delivery bike accident rates, with a decrease of 56% compared to the period before the campaign began. He explained that the number of serious accidents dropped from six to zero, while minor accidents fell from one to zero. These impressive results clearly reflect the positive impact of the campaign in raising awareness among bike riders.
Analysis of Driver Behavior
Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Bin Hindi noted that all recorded accidents were classified as “injured,” meaning that delivery bike riders were not the primary cause of those accidents. Statistics showed a marked improvement in traffic discipline among this group, resulting from implemented awareness programs and field monitoring.
Monitoring Violations and Improving Safety
The Ajman Smart Safety System recorded 6,201 traffic violations related to dangerous behaviors of drivers, leading to the impounding of 107 motorcycles for committing serious violations. Violations included driving against traffic or in prohibited areas, endangering the lives of drivers and road users. This monitoring underscores Ajman Police’s commitment to continue efforts in addressing negative behaviors.
Continuing Efforts Towards a Safer Traffic Environment
The “Safe Path” campaign is part of the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to make roads safer and supports Ajman’s Vision 2030, which aims to enhance the quality of life. The Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department emphasized the importance of continuing the campaign in the upcoming phase through field awareness and smart monitoring, while strengthening cooperation with delivery companies. The goal is to ensure a safe and sustainable traffic environment for all.
These achievements highlight the importance of traffic awareness and adherence to laws in achieving “zero delivery bike accidents” in Ajman, indicating the potential for further successes in the future.
