In a significant move aimed at bolstering community well-being and advancing growth, the Ajman Executive Council has adopted a series of developmental decisions across various sectors. Led by His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, the meeting emphasized the importance of national collaboration to achieve the ambitious goals outlined in Ajman Vision 2030. This progressive framework not only prioritizes an enhanced quality of life for residents but also encourages an inclusive approach to governance.
Transforming Human Resources Legislation
During the meeting, the council approved a project to reform human resources legislation for the Ajman government. This strategic initiative aims to align governmental employment policies with the objectives of Ajman Vision 2030, enhancing the quality of life for public sector employees and their families. The new law is designed to create an attractive institutional environment that promotes work-life balance. Key features include a modern vacation system that supports parents, more flexible career paths, and provisions for empowering people of determination within government workplaces.
Additionally, the law incorporates adaptable work patterns tailored to the needs of government entities, thereby facilitating improved productivity and job satisfaction. It acknowledges the importance of remote work models, ensuring that workers can fulfill their roles effectively regardless of their location.
Establishment of the Lifelong Learning Council
The council also announced the creation of a “Lifelong Learning Council” in Ajman, intended to provide insights and guidance on continuous education. By bringing together education partners, skill developers, and labor market representatives, the council seeks to cultivate an adaptable workforce capable of thriving in a competitive environment. His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi affirmed that fostering human talent is crucial for the emirate’s competitiveness and is essential for sustainable growth across all vital sectors.
Public Service Enhancement Framework
Another significant decision involved the endorsement of a conceptual framework for public services in Ajman, which encompasses 11 key sectors affecting community life. This framework reflects a shift in government roles from merely service providers to value creators. It emphasizes evaluating services through the lens of human experience, directing resources to enhance service delivery. His Highness has also mandated the expansion of the “Mystery Shopper” initiative to encompass public facilities and field services, along with the launch of a “Reality Simulation” program designed to assess user experiences in real-world scenarios.
Sustainable Urban Development Initiatives
The council reviewed an urban empowerment strategy that features 83 urban projects aimed at refining the city in accordance with inclusion and integration standards. This includes improvements to the waterfront, development of bike paths, rainwater drainage systems, and inclusive urban infrastructure. Sheikh Ammar highlighted the necessity of achieving 100% readiness for all public facilities and government buildings in the emirate, stressing that inclusivity extends beyond mere physical adaptations to a complete rethinking of urban planning philosophies.
In terms of environmental sustainability, the council discussed Ajman’s 2030 environmental targets, which aim to reduce carbon emissions by 40%, plant 50,000 mangrove trees, and increase waste recycling efforts to 80%. Plans also include the creation of 43 new parks, covering an area of 875,000 square meters.
Moreover, the council intends to develop vital infrastructure by upgrading 260 kilometers of roads and establishing 99 kilometers of walking and cycling paths, as well as enhancing stormwater management systems to reach a 66% capacity by 2030. The expansion of smart lighting systems is also on the agenda, with a goal of achieving 83% implementation by that time.
By endorsing supportive policies for active partnerships between government and the private sector, the council aspires to accelerate environmental project delivery and cultivate shared responsibility for environmental protection across all sectors. In closing the session, Sheikh Ammar emphasized the need for tangible results that resonate with the public, stating, “The next meeting must showcase success stories that we can see and write about.” His vision is for Ajman to lead through impactful initiatives that truly enrich the lives of its residents.
Accompanying the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi toured interactive exhibitions related to the annual meetings of the UAE Government 2025, including the “Our National Identity” exhibition, “Heartbeats of the Nation,” and an “Artificial Intelligence” exhibit. During his tour, he engaged with multiple participating entities, such as the Cybersecurity Council and the UAE Space Agency, to learn about innovative projects harnessing AI technology to enhance governmental services and community welfare.
