Recently, K2, a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi government focusing on advanced autonomous systems and AI-powered technologies, signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with WeRide to jointly operate self-driving buses in the emirate. The agreement was announced during the Umex 2026 exhibition and is supported by the Smart Autonomous Systems Council and the Integrated Transport Center.
