Diplomatic Achievements and Global Leadership

The UAE has maintained its proactive foreign policy, playing a crucial role in promoting global stability. Throughout 2025, the Emirati diplomatic efforts were particularly notable, focusing on conflict resolution in the region. Initiatives included mediating the ongoing conflict in Gaza, condemning the civil war in Sudan, and facilitating a peaceful political process led by civilians. The UAE also worked to de-escalate tensions between India and Pakistan and to reduce hostilities between Israel and Iran while forming a strong global consensus against Israeli aggression toward Qatar.

The nation has served as a vital platform for dialogues between Armenia and Azerbaijan and has been instrumental in ongoing negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, encompassing 17 rounds of discussions that resulted in the exchange of 4,641 prisoners. Furthermore, the UAE has hosted numerous world leaders and has had a prominent presence at significant international summits, including the G20, BRICS 2025, and COP30.

The tourism sector has also made significant strides, contributing 257.3 billion dirhams to the GDP, with over 16.1 million guests welcomed by hotels in the first half of 2025. A historic milestone was achieved when Sheikha Nasir Al-Nuwais became the Secretary-General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization.

Innovations and Cultural Investments

The year saw the launch of ambitious projects such as “The Eye Hills” in Sharjah, “Disney Abu Dhabi,” and “Therm Dubai,” complemented by notable cultural initiatives including the opening of “TeamLab Abu Dhabi,” the Natural History Museum, and the Dubai Arts Museum. The UAE has also continued its mission to modernize its legislative framework with new laws and decrees, including the establishment of the National Anti-Drug Agency and the Federal Ambulance and Civil Defense Authority. A new family status law and an innovative smart legislative system powered by artificial intelligence further exemplify this commitment.

Throughout 2025, the implementation of long-term strategies has focused on enhancing cybersecurity, attracting talent, streamlining bureaucracy, fostering volunteerism, and advancing the National Agenda for Family Growth 2031. The UAE’s humanitarian leadership has been recognized globally, with the nation maintaining its status as one of the largest humanitarian aid donors, contributing $1.46 billion, including over 9.4 billion dirhams in aid to Gaza since the onset of the crisis.

Environmental Initiatives and Future-Driven Projects
