Today, the Emirati aid convoy “لأطفال الزيتون” entered Gaza as part of Operation “الفارس الشهم 3”. This initiative is dedicated to supporting orphans in Gaza and addressing their basic needs, reflecting the ongoing commitment of the United Arab Emirates to assist its Palestinian brothers and sisters. The convoy consisted of 22 trucks carrying approximately 426 tons of humanitarian aid, including “كسوة لأطفال الزيتون” packages specifically designed for children. These packages include new clothing and essential supplies, alongside food parcels, rice, and shelter materials that cater to the needs of affected families in the region.

Alaa Al-Niyadi, Deputy Director of the UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Center in Al-Arish, stated, “This convoy carries a significant humanitarian dimension, as a large portion of its aid is allocated to orphans in Gaza via the initiative ‘لأطفال الزيتون’. Among the distributed packages are clothing and new essentials for children. Through Operation ‘الفارس الشهم 3’, we appreciate this important humanitarian effort and hope it brings a measure of joy and comfort to the children during these challenging times.”
The Launch of “لأطفال الزيتون”
The “لأطفال الزيتون” initiative was launched last Ramadan by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the spouse of the Ruler of Sharjah and head of the “القلب الكبير” foundation. This program, in collaboration with the Palestinian “التعاون” foundation, aims to support over 20,000 orphans in Gaza, ensuring their right to education, healthcare, psychological support, and basic needs until they reach adulthood. Within this campaign, the “كسوة لأطفال الزيتون” initiative was organized to provide boxes of children’s essentials that improve living conditions and bring joy to their daily lives amid the current humanitarian crisis.

The “لأطفال الزيتون” campaign exemplifies a remarkable model of solidarity and humanitarian support from the UAE towards the children of Gaza. So far, this operation has successfully facilitated the delivery of over 100,000 tons of assistance, reinforcing the UAE’s steadfast stance in supporting the Palestinian people and alleviating their suffering through all available means.
