SEE Holding has joined forces with King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at exploring the development of sustainable communities in Saudi Arabia. This collaboration intends to bring innovative urban living solutions to one of the kingdom’s most ambitious projects, focusing on environmental preservation, community well-being, and advanced infrastructure. The partnership underscores a growing commitment to sustainability in urban development within the region.
The MoU was officially signed by Dr. Muawieh Radaideh, Group CEO of SEE Holding, and Abdulaziz Al Nowaiser, CEO of Emaar, The Economic City (EEC), during the Cityscape Global event held in Riyadh. This agreement signifies a pivotal advancement toward fostering sustainable urban living within KAEC, an initiative that aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader developmental goals.
SEE Holding and KAEC Collaboration
As part of the MoU, SEE Holding and KAEC will work together to implement The Sustainable City model in the Red Sea region. This innovative community design will encompass residential, commercial, and public spaces, all intended to minimize environmental footprints while enhancing the overall quality of life for residents.
The initiative will prioritize local food production, the generation of clean energy, and the implementation of sophisticated waste and water management systems. Moreover, smart mobility solutions will be integrated to foster self-sufficiency and promote sustainable practices throughout the community.
Building a Sustainable Future
Eng. Faris Saeed, Founder and Chairman of SEE Holding, stated, “We believe that the successful replication and rapid growth of sustainable developments worldwide require strong partnerships and collaborations among like-minded stakeholders. Saudi Arabia represents one of the most dynamic markets for sustainable urban innovation. Our partnership with KAEC will contribute to a national transformation that advances quality of life, drives economic diversification, and accelerates progress toward Vision 2030.”
Abdulaziz Al Nowaiser also emphasized the significance of this endeavor, saying, “This partnership marks the next step in KAEC’s journey to become a thriving, future-ready city. By working with SEE Holding, we are accelerating the development of sustainable communities that enhance quality of life, attract investment, and create new opportunities.”
