The Importance of Institutional Collaboration
This meeting is part of efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration in scientific research and applied studies, where future partnership prospects contributing to the development of scientific publishing and the exchange of specialized expertise were discussed. This collaboration aims to launch innovative research projects that support the public health system in the country, aligning with national agenda priorities in the health and development sectors and reinforcing the themes of the “Year of Community.”
Unifying Research Efforts
Dr. Samia Al-Maamari emphasized that unifying research efforts with academic partners and leading national institutions effectively contributes to the innovation of evidence-based solutions. The discussion also included ways to collaborate in scientific publishing through the peer-reviewed journals issued by the center, most notably the “International Journal of Rehabilitation and Disability Studies,” published by the Zayed Higher Organization in partnership with the UAE Research and Studies Center and the International Rehabilitation Organization.
Continuing Coordination and Collaboration
The possibility of forming joint research committees to develop specialized quantitative and qualitative studies in the field of rehabilitation was also discussed. The meeting concluded with a commitment to continue joint coordination and build a knowledge environment that supports innovation in scientific research, thereby enhancing the UAE’s position as a regional and global hub in the fields of rehabilitation and mental health.
