Celebrating Basketball Achievement at Al-Dhaid Club
Nestled in the heart of Sharjah, Al-Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club recently hosted a vibrant basketball tournament as part of the “Our Holiday is Different 2026” sports programme. The competition, which took place during Sharjah Week, showcased fierce rivalries and a palpable sense of sportsmanship among participating teams and athletes.
Honouring the Champions and Rising Stars
Sitting at the helm of the event, Salem Mohammed bin Huwaidan Al-Ketbi, Chairman of Al-Dhaid Club, along with Mahir Obeid Al-Khayal Al-Taniji, the club’s Executive Director, took to the stage to crown the champions of the tournament. They presented awards to the first and second-place winners, while also extending special recognition to promising young talents in basketball.
