Invest Saudi will return to Expo Real equipped with a robust delegation, including representatives from the Real Estate General Authority (REGA) and Diriyah Company. Notably, it will also feature Smart Accommodation for Residential Complexes Company (SARCC) and Ajdan Real Estate Development Company, both debuting at the venue. This diverse lineup reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to advancing its real estate initiatives and fostering partnerships that align with its Vision 2030 goals.
New Opportunities Through Legislation
The participation of Invest Saudi comes just three months ahead of the new Law of Real Estate Ownership, which is set to take effect in January. This pivotal legislation will allow foreign entities and individuals to acquire various types of properties—including residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural assets—in designated areas, thereby broadening the investment landscape in Saudi Arabia. As a result, the Kingdom is poised to welcome a diverse pool of international investors, enhancing its status as an attractive real estate destination.

Saudi Arabia’s ambitious construction initiatives under Vision 2030 include plans for 2.5 million new homes and numerous large-scale tourism and commercial enterprises. The demand for real estate is further amplified by significant upcoming global events, including Riyadh Expo 2030 and the FIFA World Cup 2034, which are expected to increase interest in the region’s property market.

Last year, Expo Real served as a platform for nearly 100 meetings between international stakeholders and the Kingdom’s delegation. Fahad Al Hashem, Deputy Assistant Minister of Investment Development at the Ministry of Investment Saudi Arabia (MISA), noted, “The Kingdom continues to redefine urban development with world-class destinations and awe-inspiring projects that set new standards in design, construction, and sustainability—unleashing investment opportunities worth billions of dollars.”
Al Hashem emphasized that the updated foreign ownership law marks a significant evolution in the investment landscape, facilitating greater openness. This legislative change eliminates long-standing restrictions and empowers non-Saudis to acquire property rights, offering opportunities that align with diverse ownership objectives. “The new foreign ownership law is a landmark development set to further deepen investor appetite,” he added, expressing excitement about reconnecting with the global real estate community in Munich.
Alongside its promotional activities, Invest Saudi will host a series of live seminars on October 6 and 7, which will see government officials, industry leaders, and experts converge to discuss developments in Saudi Arabia’s real estate sector. Expo Real’s comprehensive conference agenda will also include a dedicated session aimed at exploring the evolving real estate market in the Kingdom, providing a platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration.
