Pure Ice Cream has officially embarked on the construction of a groundbreaking solar-powered factory in Dubai Industrial City, with an investment of AED 80 million (approximately $22 million). This ambitious project is set to elevate the company to new heights and redefine ice cream production in the UAE. Spanning an expansive area, the new facility is poised to become one of the region’s largest, significantly enhancing Pure Ice Cream’s annual production capacity to an impressive 50 million liters.

Expansion Plans and Strategic Partnerships

As part of its growth strategy, Pure Ice Cream has inked a production agreement with Inspire Brands, the parent company of Baskin-Robbins, based in the United States. This collaboration will further fortify the company’s market presence and ensure the availability of quality ice creams across the region. With the new facility expected to launch in 2026, Pure Ice Cream is strategically positioned to meet the increasing demand for its products.

Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation

Gaurav Ghai, Chairman of Graviss Group, expressed excitement about the project, stating, “We are looking forward to building the largest ice cream plant in the GCC and exporting products to over 20 countries from Dubai.” This commitment to innovation aligns with the facility’s use of solar energy, underscoring Pure Ice Cream’s dedication to sustainable practices in manufacturing.

The facility, designed with a focus on technological advancements, will utilize artificial intelligence and automation systems to optimize production efficiency and enhance quality control. It will also incorporate x-ray detection technology, comprehensive R&D, and testing facilities, ensuring that every product meets the highest standards of excellence.

Job Creation and Future Prospects

Furthermore, the new factory is projected to create around 60 additional jobs, contributing positively to the local economy. Pure Ice Cream has also committed to using biodegradable packaging for its three-gallon product line, reinforcing its sustainability objectives as part of its broader vision to become carbon-neutral.

Dubai Industrial City currently boasts over 1,100 customers and more than 350 operational factories, presenting significant opportunities for collaboration.
