In a significant development for commuters, “Parken” has introduced a new parking tariff for public spaces in Global Academic City and Sports City in Dubai, with fees ranging from 2 dirhams for a half-hour to 32 dirhams for 24 hours. This initiative aims to enhance the management of parking facilities and improve vehicular movement in these busy areas of Dubai.
Global Academic City
The company has designated parking in Global Academic City under code (F). The new tariff will be applicable from 8 AM to 10 PM, starting at 2 dirhams for the first half hour. The rates extend to 4 dirhams for one hour, 8 dirhams for two hours, 12 dirhams for three hours, 16 dirhams for four hours, and 20 dirhams for five hours. After that, the cost continues to rise to 24 dirhams for six hours, 28 dirhams for seven hours, and culminates at 32 dirhams for a full day.
Additionally, various subscription options have been made available to meet the long-term needs of employees and visitors in Global Academic City, including a monthly subscription for 315 dirhams, a three-month option for 840 dirhams, a six-month subscription priced at 1680 dirhams, and an annual pass costing 2940 dirhams.
Sports City
In Sports City, public parking has been categorized under code (S) and follows the same operational hours of 8 AM to 10 PM. The fees commence at 2 dirhams for the first hour, scaling to 4 dirhams for two hours, 6 dirhams for three hours, and 8 dirhams for four hours. As the time increases, rates continue to rise, reaching 10 dirhams for five hours, 12 dirhams for six hours, and 14 dirhams for seven hours, with a maximum charge of 20 dirhams for a 24-hour period.
Subscription plans are also available for Sports City’s parking facilities, offering a monthly rate of 300 dirhams, a three-month option at 800 dirhams, a six-month plan for 1600 dirhams, and an annual service priced at 2800 dirhams.
