Mohammed bin Zayed’s Son Leads 2030 Strategy for Humanitarian Legacy

In a significant move towards enhancing humanitarian efforts, His Highness Sheikh Diab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Presidential Court for Development Affairs and Martyrs’ Families, has officially adopted the 2030 strategy for the Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Foundation. The strategy was approved during a recent meeting of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, which he chaired.

A Vision for Sustainable Growth

Sheikh Diab stated that the “Institutional 2030 Strategy” represents an essential milestone for the foundation’s upcoming initiatives. This new approach is rooted in the values instilled by the late founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and embodies the inspirational humanitarian and developmental vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, aimed at fostering generosity, giving, development, and building a better world for all.

Empowering Partnerships and Solutions

He elaborated on the foundation’s commitment to empowering various groups within its network by providing necessary support for capabilities and partnerships. This enhancement is crucial for designing and executing humanitarian and developmental programmes, aligning with directives from His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Court.

Focus on Humanitarian Impact

Sheikh Diab emphasised that all entities within the foundation are dedicated to serving humanity and fostering community prosperity, which are fundamental principles in executing corporate endeavors and achieving lasting impacts across various global priority sectors.

A Unified Institutional Vision

Commenting on the strategy, Dr. Magheer Khamees Al Khaili, Secretary-General of the Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Foundation, noted that the 2030 strategy consolidates a unified vision across all foundation entities. It aims to enhance collaboration, resource allocation, and partnerships effectively, thereby creating a measurable and lasting impact in the realm of goodwill originating from the UAE to various corners of the globe.

Foundational Values and Strategic Focus

Dr. Al Khaili explained that the “Institutional 2030 Strategy” is built on four core values: People First, Determination, Cooperation, and Integrity. It prioritises six key sectors: Health, Education, Agriculture and Food Security, Economic Empowerment, Nature, and Culture and Community Participation. Furthermore, the foundation is guided by four principles of action: Impact, Efficiency and Effectiveness, Sustainability, and Innovation, which aim to maximise social returns and attract both local and international contributions to broaden the foundation’s impact and extend its reach.

This strategic commitment reflects the foundation’s ongoing dedication to enhancing global humanitarian efforts, ensuring a tangible and positive impact on communities worldwide.
