The Dar Al Ber Society has launched its annual winter campaign for 2026, themed “Winter of Benevolence: Warmth That Reaches, Warmth That Lasts.” This initiative aims to support families, orphans, and the most vulnerable groups, alleviating the harsh impacts of cold weather by providing essential heating, clothing, and food supplies to those in need, particularly in regions facing significant drops in temperature.
Imran Abdullah, Assistant CEO of the Society’s Zakat and Community Development Sector, announced that the Winter of Benevolence 2026 campaign commenced on 5 November and will run for over three months. The initiative spans four countries: Nepal, Tajikistan, Albania, and Kosovo, with a diverse range of projects designed to bolster the ability of struggling families to endure the severe winter conditions.
As part of the campaign, the Dar Al Ber Society has allocated a total of 15 million dirhams specifically for humanitarian efforts targeted at the residents of the Gaza Strip. This funding is divided across three key projects: 6 million dirhams for urgent medical supplies, 6 million dirhams for food provision, and 3 million dirhams for emergency shelter tents. The Society is currently coordinating with relevant authorities to finalise arrangements for delivering assistance and implementing these projects, aiming to address urgent humanitarian needs and reduce the suffering of affected families while empowering them to cope with the difficult living conditions during winter.
Furthermore, the campaign includes humanitarian and developmental projects that extend beyond immediate winter needs. These initiatives encompass building and furnishing homes for impoverished families and orphans, providing housing for refugees, illuminating residences of the needy, and supplying essential items for infants. Such efforts contribute to improving living conditions and enhancing stability among the targeted communities.
