Modon Holding Enters Strategic Partnership with Wellington Lifestyle Partners

In a significant move to bolster its international portfolio, Abu Dhabi-based Modon Holding has invested in the US-based Wellington Lifestyle Partners (WLP). This partnership aims to support the ambitious long-term vision for the Wellington International equestrian showgrounds in Wellington, Florida, positioning both firms to shape the future of luxury equestrian living.

The financial specifics of the transaction remain undisclosed.

The Wellington International equestrian showgrounds is an ultra-luxury development featuring upscale residences, a boutique hotel, a commercial marketplace, and a championship golf course, situated in a premier locale renowned for its equestrian activities.

This investment marks Modon’s inaugural foray into equestrian-led developments in the United States, enhancing its existing global portfolio while solidifying its commitment to collaborating with esteemed international organizations to expand its footprint in ultra-luxury lifestyle destinations.

As part of this initiative, Modon will join WLP and its current group of investors and operators to enhance a flourishing portfolio of lifestyle and sports venues. This portfolio encompasses the prestigious Wellington International showgrounds, The Wanderers Club—a modern family-oriented country club featuring golf, tennis, swimming, and dining options—and The Wellington, a new private residential community comprising 253 premium residences set to debut in 2028, along with a golf course designed by David McLay Kidd. Additional components include a luxury boutique hotel, residences, shops, offices, and restaurants, collectively creating a master plan to solidify Wellington’s status as a global epicenter for equestrian sport and luxury living.

As part of the agreement, Modon will also serve as a premier sponsor of the Winter Equestrian Festival and Adequan Global Dressage Festival (AGDF). These prestigious events are the largest and longest-running hunter/jumper and dressage competitions globally, drawing over 250,000 visitors each year.

Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of Modon Holding, remarked: “This strategic investment reflects Modon’s ambition to invest alongside world-class partners that share our vision for excellence in destination development.”

He continued, “Wellington Lifestyle Partners represents a unique collaboration that brings together expertise in real estate, equestrian activities, hospitality, and sports-led communities. By extending our reach to the United States, we are furthering Modon’s role in delivering sustainable destinations that embody quality, innovation, and cultural connection.”

Bill O’Regan, Group Chief Executive Officer of Modon Holding, added: “Our partnership with Wellington Lifestyle Partners aligns with Modon’s strategy to develop integrated lifestyle destinations that combine community, sport, and hospitality. Wellington International is globally recognized for its equestrian excellence, and this collaboration provides a valuable opportunity to exchange expertise in operations, master planning, and design.”
