In a remarkable celebration of national pride, an installation featuring a striking image of Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Rashid has graced the roundabout opposite Dubai’s emblematic “Frame” building. This artistic endeavor is part of the ongoing activities for the national month, initiated by Dubai Brand in collaboration with Dubai Municipality. This year’s rendition of the “Zayed and Rashid” campaign, launched under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, emphasizes the legacy of these founding leaders, showcasing their monumental contributions to the UAE’s development.
Celebrating National Pride
The artwork has been set up at the Sheikh Zayed Road intersection, near Zabeel Park. It prominently features an artistic representation of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, honoring their profound impact on the nation. This installation serves as a heartfelt tribute, reinforcing citizens’ gratitude towards the visionaries who laid the foundation for the remarkable journey of the United Arab Emirates over the past fifty years.

Bader Anowi, Executive Director of the Public Amenities Department at Dubai Municipality, expressed the municipality’s pride in partnering with Dubai Brand. “This artwork is a symbol of the values of unity, loyalty, and belonging established by Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Rashid,” he remarked. The choice of location, right across from the Frame building, symbolizes the connection between the past and the present, reminding generations of the UAE’s ambitious vision.

Anowi detailed that the installation features colorful pebbles meticulously arranged on a resilient base designed to highlight the image. This intricate work is visually arresting from above, transforming the site into a unique national mural that embodies the spirit of unity and pride in the UAE’s heritage. “This project enhances the area’s beauty while representing a heartfelt artistic national message,” he elaborated, drawing connections to the UAE’s cultural wealth.

The artistic installation bearing the images of Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Rashid, may they rest in peace, covers a substantial area of 82 meters at the roundabout in front of the “Frame” building.
