The Dubai Police have launched a specialized awareness platform focused on cybercrime, aimed at increasing public awareness of the risks associated with digital crimes and securing the community. This platform serves as an important resource for all citizens, providing useful information to help them understand electronic threats and how to protect themselves. Through this initiative, the Dubai Police seek to enhance cybersecurity and educate individuals on best practices for safeguarding themselves against fraud and data theft.
Targeting Various Community Groups
The platform targets all segments of the community, including children, parents, ordinary individuals, business owners, employees, and all users of social media and the internet. Reporting and Recovering from Fraud
The platform also features a section titled “Reporting and Recovery,” aimed at educating users on how to report cybercrime and what to do if they fall victim to fraud. The platform outlines the necessary reporting steps and provides specific instructions for residents and tourists, as well as guidance directed at businesses and government employees.
