“Barwah” Connects Properties of Senior Citizens and People of Determination with 3 Emirati Asset Management Companies

The Dubai Land Department has announced the launch of the “Barwah” program, aimed at connecting the properties of senior citizens and people of determination with three specialized Emirati asset management companies. This program ensures the protection of senior citizens and people of determination from fraud and mismanagement of their properties, reflecting the UAE’s commitment to enhancing the welfare of these groups. This initiative is part of a larger vision to support the community and improve the quality of life for individuals with special needs and the elderly.

Details of the “Barwah” Program

During the second session of the “Barwah” program, held at the Dhakher Club in Safa Park, Khalifa Al-Salfa, Senior Administrative Advisor at the Director General’s Office, explained that the program includes a partnership with three Emirati companies that offer a comprehensive range of property management services. Agreements have been signed with the department to ensure the provision of services to senior citizens, allowing them to access real estate consultations and regular maintenance without direct fees in some cases.

The Importance of Raising Awareness and Providing Information

Khalifa Al-Salfa pointed out that many senior citizens may own properties but are not specialized in real estate investment management, which may expose them to some unsound practices. Therefore, the “Barwah” program comes as an important initiative that ensures their properties are managed in accordance with modern laws and regulations.

Moreover, the program has begun implementing awareness workshops to increase understanding of real estate changes, helping senior citizens to utilize their properties in the best possible way and avoid potential issues.

Involving Beneficiaries in Service Improvement

In a statement to the authority, Majid Al-Yirah, head of the Senior Citizens Clubs and Councils team, emphasized the importance of involving senior citizens in direct dialogues with service providers. This effective communication enhances the chances of providing services that align with their needs and aspirations, contributing to the development of services that suit their realities.

This was clearly demonstrated during the dialogue sessions, where several topics related to improving access to services and facilitating community interaction were discussed. Many senior citizens see the “Barwah” program as a qualitative leap that contributes to improving their quality of life and helps them easily access financial and real estate solutions.

Positive Reactions to the “Barwah” Program

Several senior citizens, such as Rashid bin Hashim, expressed their appreciation for the launch of the “Barwah” program and its positive impact on their lives. They confirmed that the initiative reflects the commitment of the relevant authorities to assist them and achieve practical improvements in their quality of life. The efforts of those in charge of the program to instill a sense of care and appreciation among this group were also praised.

Some participants, like Ali bin Yarouf, added that the “Barwah” program serves as a bridge to enhance communication between senior citizens and government entities, making it easier for them to keep up with digital developments. They viewed it as a pioneering service that surpasses many international initiatives.

Finally, participants look forward to the continued efforts to develop the “Barwah” program, ensuring that it meets the needs of senior citizens and enhances their social stability, as part of a creative endeavor to improve their daily living standards.
