In its ongoing efforts to promote Islamic culture and honor the Holy Quran, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, launched the 29th edition of the Dubai International Quran Award for the year (1448 AH – 2027 AD). The award reflects Dubai’s commitment to serving the Book of God and enhancing communication with the international community through the best recitation voices.

The new edition of the award includes qualitative additions aimed at improving international participation. The current cycle features new categories for males over 16 years old, as well as for males and females under 16 years old, in addition to the global Quranic personality category. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stated in a post on the “X” platform that the award celebrates its significant role in motivating and honoring Quranic memorizers, saying, “With God’s grace and success, we launch the new cycle of the Dubai Quran Award… We are looking for the most beautiful Quranic voices in the world… To celebrate them… To pray behind them… And to honor them in the upcoming blessed month of Ramadan, God willing.”
Encouraging Community Engagement
The Dubai International Quran Award, through the current edition, aims to enhance public interaction with the competition. Voting for the most beautiful Quranic voice in the world will be conducted, providing the audience with an opportunity for active participation. The winners will host a series of events where they can lead prayers during Taraweeh in major mosques, enriching the atmosphere of worship during the holy month.

Since its establishment in 1997, the Dubai International Quran Award has proven its status as one of the most important and prestigious awards in this field. Registration Process and Deadlines
Those interested in participating in the new edition can register via the official award website www.quran.gov.ae. Registration requires submitting personal information along with a copy of the passport, a personal photo, and a video of a recitation not exceeding three minutes. The registration period begins on July 7 and continues until August 15. Tests will be conducted according to the specified age categories, ensuring equal opportunities for all participants.
