Cold Air Masses, Rain, Thunder, and Lightning Expected Until Friday
The country is currently experiencing noticeable climatic changes, influenced by cold air masses and rain accompanied by thunder and lightning, continuing until Friday. Since last Saturday, several areas, particularly the islands, have been affected by varying intensities of rainfall, with this weather expected to persist along with an increase in cloud cover and intermittent rain.
Effects of the Cold Air Masses
Since last Saturday, the country has witnessed varying intensities of rain in some areas, especially the islands. The National Center of Meteorology predicts that the cold air masses will deepen from today until Friday, increasing the chances of rainfall. This will be accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional hail, creating unstable weather conditions.
Weekly Weather Conditions
The country is currently affected by a state of atmospheric instability caused by the extension of a surface low-pressure system from the Red Sea, leading to the activity of humid southeast winds. The lowest recorded temperature was 9.1 degrees Celsius, while the highest was 31.3 degrees Celsius in Al Shawamekh, Abu Dhabi.
Regarding the weather forecast for Tuesday, conditions will be partly to mostly cloudy, with chances of rain on the islands and eastern regions. Winds will pick up, reaching speeds of up to 45 km/h, which may affect horizontal visibility.
Continued Atmospheric Instability
The National Center of Meteorology also expects the cold air masses to continue affecting the country. On Wednesday, the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy, with rain expected in coastal areas. Wind speeds will increase, stirring up dust and sand.
On Thursday, rain is expected to continue, falling in various regions of the country. Winds will shift from southeast to northwest, with speeds potentially reaching 55 km/h, which will reduce horizontal visibility.
Friday’s Forecast
The state of instability will persist until Friday, with the weather being partly to mostly cloudy, and rainfall in multiple areas. Temperatures will drop significantly, with active winds possibly reaching speeds of 60 km/h, further enhancing the effects of the cold air masses.
Given the cold weather and expected rain, citizens and residents are advised to stay informed about the latest weather alerts and exercise caution when leaving their homes.
