In an effort to streamline its services and enhance the user experience, the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department has officially announced the discontinuation of its smart app, MPDA, across all platforms, including Apple (iOS), Android (Google), and Huawei. This transition marks a strategic shift towards unifying government service channels under the comprehensive application “Ajman One,” the official app for the Ajman Government.
This decision aligns with the municipality’s vision to simplify the user experience, enabling residents to complete all their government transactions effortlessly through a single, integrated application. This approach exemplifies the Ajman Government’s commitment to sustainable development and cohesive institutional operations.
Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, General Manager of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, stated that the department remains committed to working under a unified government framework that prioritizes the needs of its citizens. He emphasized the aim to elevate the quality of life and enhance happiness and welfare levels in the emirate.
“We have transferred over 40 fully digital services, complete with all their features, from the MPDA app to ‘Ajman One,’ ensuring there will be no interruption in service delivery,” he highlighted, confirming that the shutdown of the MPDA will take effect from December 31, 2025.
This initiative aligns with the Ajman 2030 vision and the department’s strategy to promote digital transformation, delivering more cohesive and effective governmental services. It resonates with governmental efforts aimed at improving the quality of life while providing a sophisticated, secure digital experience for all users.
Al Nuaimi noted that the MPDA app has been pivotal since its launch in 2014, showcasing exemplary practices in the realm of digital services. “It has significantly enhanced the efficiency and quality of government services, attracting over 230,000 users and offering services in more than 27 languages, successfully completing over 3 million digital transactions with the highest standards of quality and reliability,” he remarked.
The Ajman Municipality was the first government entity in the UAE to introduce digital identity features, including a digital seal and signature, alongside a smart clock application, which is the first of its kind within the Ajman Government. This allowed users to access all government services securely and conveniently, ensuring the authenticity of digital transactions and safeguarding personal data.
These innovations have been recognized with over 20 local and international awards in the fields of government excellence and digital services. Notably, the app received the Best Mobile Government Service award at the inaugural Government Summit and has maintained a five-star rating in the global service classification system for two consecutive terms, reflecting the quality of services provided and the efficiency of the operational framework, underscoring the Ajman Municipality’s leadership and commitment to innovation and digital transformation.
Al Nuaimi reiterated that the department is dedicated to achieving further success by delivering its services through the unified Ajman Government app, “Ajman One.” All governmental entities are collaborating to offer smart and proactive services that prioritize user convenience and satisfaction.
The department encourages all residents to download the “Ajman One” app to access government services effortlessly and securely, embracing a unified digital experience that aligns with future aspirations and supports the digital transformation journey in the emirate of Ajman.
