New figures indicate that the trade volume between Abu Dhabi and the United States achieved an impressive result during the first nine months of 2025, reaching 111 billion dirhams. This data aligns with Abu Dhabi’s efforts to enhance its international trade and investment partnerships and expand avenues of cooperation with major global economic powers, such as the United States.
Cooperation Agreement Between the Chambers of Commerce
In a significant step to strengthen these relations, the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a cooperation agreement with the American Chamber of Commerce. This agreement aims to support investment opportunities and exchange expertise, as well as provide robust communication channels between the business communities in Abu Dhabi and the United States. This partnership is part of Abu Dhabi’s efforts to enhance its economy and deepen international cooperation.
Growth of Non-Oil Trade
According to data released by the Federal Center for Competitiveness and Statistics, non-oil bilateral trade between the UAE and the United States reached 111 billion dirhams, equivalent to 30.2 billion dollars, during the first nine months of 2025. This reflects an annual growth of 10.2% compared to 100.7 billion dirhams during the same period in 2024, demonstrating the sustainable health of economic relations between the two countries.
Business Environment and Economic Opportunities
The UAE hosts numerous American companies, and mutual investments continue to grow. The signed agreement signifies the commitment of both sides to enhance these relations, creating a strong platform to support the growth of joint investments. The agreement also aims to expand areas of cooperation in trade and investment, supporting entrepreneurs in both countries.
Statements from Economic Leaders
Ali Mohammed Al-Marzouqi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated: “The signing of the agreement marks a new milestone in enhancing economic relations with the United States, as part of the ongoing efforts of the Abu Dhabi Chamber to strengthen international partnerships.” In this context, Steve Lutes, Vice President for Middle East Affairs at the American Chamber of Commerce, noted that “this agreement reflects the American Chamber of Commerce’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with our partners in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.”
It is clear that the 111 billion dirhams in trade between Abu Dhabi and the United States in the first nine months of 2025 is not just a number but a symbol of the significant opportunities that lie ahead in the economic relations between the two countries.
