In a significant gesture of support for the Palestinian people, aid from the Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has arrived in Al Arish, Egypt. This crucial assistance includes 10,000 winter bags containing 70,000 articles of clothing and heating supplies, as part of the “Winter Clothes” initiative launched under Operation “Faris Al-Shahem 3”. The aim is to help alleviate the harsh winter conditions faced by families in the Gaza Strip.
Winter Support Initiative for Gaza
This initiative targets one million beneficiaries in Gaza, providing essential winter supplies to Palestinian families and easing their suffering amid challenging humanitarian circumstances. The team from Operation “Faris Al-Shahem 3” is currently coordinating the preparation and movement of these supplies to Gaza from the Emirati humanitarian aid logistics centre in Al Arish, ensuring a seamless flow of essential aid to those in need.
The winter bags were assembled during an event held at the Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanities, which saw broad participation from students and community volunteers. This collective effort embodies the values of solidarity and generosity, showcasing the collaboration of humanitarian and educational institutions alongside community members in support of their Palestinian counterparts.
