Inauguration of New Energy Projects
In conjunction with Minister Al Mazrouei’s visit, a series of new energy projects were inaugurated in Uzbekistan, attended by President Mirziyoyev. Achievements in Renewable Energy
Minister Al Mazrouei stated that projects developed by the UAE company Masdar in Uzbekistan are among the fastest-growing clean energy portfolios in Central Asia. He pointed out that Masdar operates approximately 2,000 megawatts of production capacity through several key projects, including the Noor Bukhara solar facility—the country’s first integrated solar power and battery installation—and the Guzar solar and battery project. These initiatives not only enhance energy security but also increase the efficiency of Uzbekistan’s power grid while promoting the adoption of clean energy sources.
The delegation from the UAE included high-level officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, Masdar, the Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority, and other major organizations. Their presence underscored the UAE’s commitment to supporting economic and investment cooperation with Uzbekistan.
