UAE Becomes the Worlds Fastest-Growing Wealth Market

The UAE has solidified its position as one of the fastest-growing wealth markets in the world, transforming from a regional player to a global hub for affluent individuals and international financial institutions. This development is attributed to a sophisticated model that combines financial stability, strategic government policies, and an open economic environment.

Recent reports project that this momentum will continue, with expectations of a net influx of 9,800 millionaires by 2025, accompanied by an estimated investable wealth of around $63 billion, according to a report by Henley & Partners, a consultancy specializing in immigration and investments.

Strategic Government Policies Enhance Growth

According to Soufo Sarkar, Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council of WealthBricks, in an interview with the Emirates News Agency (WAM), “the UAE has become one of the fastest-growing wealth markets in the world, driven by strategic government policies, advanced financial infrastructure, and a firm reputation as a safe destination for investors from various regions.” He emphasized that “a wide range of global individuals view the UAE as a secure choice, whether from Europe, Asia, or the Middle East and North Africa, due to stable policies, high-quality living standards, and an attractive tax system.” These factors collectively render it an ideal location for affluent individuals seeking a stable environment to grow and safeguard their wealth.

Unprecedented Growth in High-Net-Worth Individuals

Sarkar further noted that the UAE is experiencing unprecedented growth in the number of high-net-worth individuals, surpassing advanced nations like Australia, the United States, and European countries. This trend necessitates an increasing number of specialized wealth management firms to meet the growing demand, highlighting the vital role played by leading financial centers such as Abu Dhabi Global Market and Dubai International Financial Centre.

A Strong Financial Sector Supports Expansion

Hind Akel, co-founder and Investor Relations Manager at Dovhaus Capital Fund IC, told WAM, “The UAE’s financial sector has grown significantly, led by both the Abu Dhabi Global Market and Dubai International Financial Centre, complemented by a robust base of sovereign wealth funds and institutional investors, making the country a strong global capital center.” She pointed out that the UAE’s appeal extends beyond its regulatory and tax environment to encompass exceptional quality of life. “It’s become commonplace for entrepreneurs and investors to choose to settle in Abu Dhabi or Dubai with their families due to the world-class educational facilities, advanced healthcare services, high safety standards, and the welcoming nature of Emirati culture that attracts many,” she added.

Future Wealth Trends in the Region

Data reinforces this leading position, with a report released in January by the Innovation Hub of the Dubai Financial Centre, in collaboration with Swiss wealth management firm Julius Baer and market infrastructure developer Euroclear, forecasting a historic transfer of wealth valued at one trillion dollars to the next generation by 2030. This projection includes affluent individuals in the UAE, whose assets have grown by 20% to reach $700 billion since 2022. This clearly indicates that the UAE has engineered one of the most successful wealth attraction strategies of modern times.
