The Media Office of the UAE Government has announced the launch of a new version of the “Specialized Content Creators” program, in collaboration with the New Media Academy. This initiative aims to enhance the skills of professionals from federal and local government entities as well as the private sector, focusing on specialized content creation across several vital sectors, including the economy, business, law, mental health, agriculture, and food security. With registration open until September 25, this program is designed to meet the pressing need for quality content that resonates with various audiences.

Khadija Hussein, Executive Director of the Government Communication Sector at the Media Office of the UAE Government, stated that the office continues to support the crafting of purposeful content. This includes content intended for circulation on informal platforms and social media networks, acknowledging their potential to reach diverse segments of the public. She emphasized that verifying the information presented by content creators is crucial, especially in an era characterized by an overwhelming influx of data. By adhering to professionalism, creators can distinguish credible content from misinformation, thus playing a significant role in maintaining transparency, accuracy, and objectivity.
Training Structure and Focus Areas
The “Specialized Content Creators” program, running over three weeks at the New Media Academy in Emirates Towers, Dubai, aims to prepare a new generation of technical experts within government entities. These professionals, who possess specific knowledge yet have not effectively utilized it for content creation, will gain essential skills to transform their expertise into simplified and reliable information for the public. The program also seeks to attract field content creators from various governmental institutions, equipping them with skills to translate their on-ground experiences into engaging content that enhances their organization’s presence across different platforms.
Skill Development for Active Engagement
Participants in the program will receive training in storytelling techniques, specialized scriptwriting, digital photography and editing, as well as the use of creative artificial intelligence tools. The curriculum is based on a fundamental truth: in the absence of accurate and evidence-based information from credible content creators, the void is often filled with subpar content that lacks professional standards. Historical evidence shows that negative impacts in many sectors stem from the dissemination of inaccurate information or misleading narratives.
