UAE Strengthens Essential Healthcare Assistance for Gaza

The UAE Extends a Lifeline to the Health Sector in Gaza

The United Arab Emirates is making relentless humanitarian efforts to bolster the health sector in Gaza as part of “Operation Gallant Knight 3.” The UAE is focused on providing support and assistance to prevent the collapse of public health. In this context, Emiratis are striving to extend a lifeline to the health sector in Gaza, which is suffering from a lack of resources and medical capabilities.

Immediate and Professional Interventions

The UAE has demonstrated its resilience and efficiency by intervening in response to the dire medical conditions in Gaza. Through the UAE field hospital located within the territory and the floating hospital sent to the city of Al-Arish in Egypt, the UAE has successfully provided exceptional medical care to affected families. Furthermore, critical medical cases have been transferred to hospitals in the UAE for appropriate treatment, reflecting the country’s commitment to extending a lifeline to the health sector in Gaza.

Comprehensive Medical Services

Since its opening in December 2023, the UAE field hospital in Gaza has provided comprehensive medical services to over 51,000 patients as of April. The hospital is distinguished by the presence of professional medical teams specialized in various fields. Additionally, the UAE has launched an initiative to provide prosthetic limbs for those injured who have lost their limbs, contributing to their rehabilitation and enabling them to return to their normal lives.

Expanding Medical Relief Efforts

In a further step, the UAE has sent a floating hospital to support the Palestinian community. The floating hospital is equipped with a comprehensive medical staff capable of handling multidisciplinary cases, successfully providing care for 10,370 patients. The hospital includes all necessary facilities such as operating rooms and intensive care units, serving as another example of how the UAE is extending a lifeline to the health sector in Gaza.

Ongoing Medical Care

The UAE continues to discuss and transfer critical medical cases to its territory, responding to the directives of the President to accommodate 1,000 Palestinian cancer patients and their families. By May, the number of patients transferred to the UAE reached 2,634, demonstrating the country’s commitment to providing everything Palestinian families need in healthcare.

By supplying various medical provisions, the UAE is also importing essential medicines and medical equipment, significantly enhancing the therapeutic capabilities within Gaza. The UAE’s efforts to provide healthcare opportunities continue to embody its moral and political commitment, driven by its strong desire to improve the health conditions of its brothers in Gaza.
