As part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking, the security agencies of the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait successfully thwarted an international drug smuggling network. This Emirati-Kuwaiti security collaboration led to the seizure of over 14 million Captagon pills, reflecting the effectiveness of coordination and information exchange between both sides.

Thanks to the intelligence coordination between the General Departments of Drug Control in Dubai Police and their Kuwaiti counterparts, both parties managed to seize a significant quantity of drugs exceeding 2.25 tons. These substances were concealed within bags filled with corn and carefully distributed among five containers to evade inspection procedures.
Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National Anti-Drug Council, praised the exceptional security cooperation that led to this significant achievement. He affirmed that the successful operation to dismantle this network highlights the strong brotherly relations between the UAE and Kuwait, contributing to enhanced regional security and the reduction of cross-border smuggling activities.

The investigation team developed a comprehensive field monitoring plan, where three individuals linked to the shipment were observed attempting to unload it in preparation for storage, leading to their decisive apprehension.
