The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, through its Sharjah Training and Development Centre, has announced the launch of the fifth edition of the “Strategic Business Leadership Programme 2026–2027,” titled “Start Your Successful Leadership Path.” This initiative is in collaboration with the University of Navarra in Spain and aims to prepare qualified leaders equipped with the cognitive tools and practical skills necessary to lead institutions and enhance their performance in line with global best practices.
Programme Structure and Objectives
Targeting department managers, their deputies, heads of sections, and candidates from their respective organisations, the six-month programme will run from November 2023 to April 2027. It encompasses comprehensive tracks that integrate the development of cognitive and strategic capabilities, consulting training, and practical applications, enabling participants to apply the knowledge and skills gained to improve the work environment and enhance institutional performance.
Specialised Training Modules
The programme comprises seven specialised training modules that combine modern leadership concepts and future management trends. These include situational leadership and adaptive leadership mechanisms to cope with changes, strategic thinking and designing innovative business models, as well as exploring artificial intelligence’s role in leadership and strategic decision-making. Further topics will cover business psychology, leadership dynamics, organisational behaviour, strategic integration, and readiness indicators for institutional innovation. The course will also delve into design thinking, innovative strategic solutions, and leadership strategies for managing challenges in VUCA environments, supplemented by specialised training at the University of Navarra, providing participants with insights into global practices in strategic leadership.

Mariam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General of the Sharjah Chamber for Support Services, emphasised that the launch of the programme reflects the chamber’s commitment to investing in human capital and developing managerial and leadership competencies, which are fundamental to building more efficient, agile institutions capable of adapting to economic and technological changes. She noted that enhancing human skills and capabilities remains a priority for the chamber, which aims to provide specialised training programmes based on global best practices, ultimately preparing leaders equipped with strategic thinking tools, innovation skills, and decision-making capacities to enhance the business environment and boost institutional competitiveness.
