The UAE aid convoy “For the Olive Children” represents a significant humanitarian effort aimed at supporting the orphans of Gaza and addressing their basic needs. Comprising 22 trucks, the convoy transported nearly 426 tons of humanitarian aid, including packages for children that contain essential supplies for life.
Assistance for Gaza’s Orphans
The UAE aid convoy “For the Olive Children” included packages containing clothing and new items for children, as well as food such as rice and materials for shelter. These efforts are part of a dedicated initiative to meet the needs of affected families in the region. Ahmed Al-Neyadi, Deputy Director of the UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Center to Gaza, stated: “This convoy carries a special humanitarian dimension, as a significant portion of it is designated for the orphaned children in the Gaza Strip.”
The “For the Olive Children” Initiative
The “For the Olive Children” initiative was launched during the previous Ramadan season under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, with the goal of supporting over 20,000 orphans in Gaza. The initiative focuses on providing education, healthcare, and psychological support, aiming to secure the needs of these children until they reach adulthood, thereby enhancing their daily lives.
Ongoing Humanitarian Support
The “For the Olive Children” initiative exemplifies a unique model of Emirati solidarity with the children of Gaza, implemented in cooperation with Operation “Noble Knight 3.” This operation contributes to preparing aid packages and delivering them to Gaza through the logistics center in Al-Arish, ensuring that assistance reaches those in need as quickly as possible.
As “Noble Knight 3” continues, the UAE remains committed to providing humanitarian support through extensive partnerships with various organizations and institutions. Ahmed Al-Neyadi explained that the initiative reflects the UAE’s steadfast approach to helping their Palestinian brothers and sisters, with the operation having delivered over 100,000 tons of aid to the region so far.
