The President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, held discussions with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, focusing on the multifaceted cooperation between their nations. This meeting, part of a working visit by His Highness to Serbia, aimed to enhance bilateral ties, particularly in economic, investment, trade, renewable energy, and other areas aligning with their developmental priorities.
Strengthening Bilateral Relations
Both leaders expressed a commitment to further develop Emirati-Serbian relations and establish sustainable developmental partnerships that would benefit both countries and their peoples. His Highness acknowledged President Vučić’s dedication to championing the growth and prosperity of their bilateral relations.
Educational Initiatives for Serbian Students
In an effort to foster scientific cooperation and educational partnerships, Sheikh Mohamed directed the allocation of scholarships for Serbian students to study various disciplines at UAE universities. Emphasising areas such as science, technology, and artificial intelligence, this initiative was warmly received by President Vučić, who highlighted its significance in reflecting the depth of the relationship between the two nations.
Discussion on Regional and Global Issues
During their meeting, the leaders also engaged in discussions on several regional and international issues of mutual interest, exchanging perspectives on matters affecting both countries.
Expo 2027 Preparations in Belgrade
As part of his itinerary, Sheikh Mohamed visited the interactive exhibition centre for Expo 2027 in Belgrade, which Serbia is set to host next year. Through a presentation, he was briefed on the ongoing preparations for this significant international event and wished Serbia success in its efforts. The visit concluded with group photographs alongside the exhibition team.
