In a pivotal meeting, President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, engaged in a comprehensive discussion about enhancing cooperation between their countries. During the welcoming meeting held at Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi, the President expressed his gratitude to the Finnish leader for his official visit, wishing ongoing prosperity and progress for Finland and its citizens. The dialogue highlighted numerous areas of collaboration between the United Arab Emirates and Finland, focusing on the economy, trade, education, technology, space, and innovation—domains essential for mutual growth.
Additionally, both leaders touched upon regional and international issues of shared interest, exchanging viewpoints while emphasizing their commitment to supporting international efforts aimed at enhancing global peace and stability through dialogue and diplomatic solutions. Moreover, the President noted that negotiations concerning a free trade agreement and a comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the UAE and the European Union represent a critical milestone in bolstering bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the UAE and Finland. President Stubb expressed his heartfelt thanks for the warm reception and pointed out Finland’s eagerness to expand its economic and trade partnerships with the UAE in ways that promote sustainable development. He acknowledged the continuous evolution of relations between the two nations.
