Engineer Rashid Hamad Al Neyadi, Director of Asset Management, explained that the project encompasses all roads in Al Ain City, including both internal and external urban roads. As of last May, data has been collected over 2,551 kilometers of the road network, while data covering 1,005.77 kilometers has been analyzed using smart systems. These actions align with the vision of a smart city, as they are adapted to meet future needs.
Technologies Used in the Project
The project relies on a range of advanced technologies, focusing on the use of high-precision lasers to assess the condition of asphalt surfaces. This allows for the detection of defects such as cracks and ruts, as well as precise measurements of road roughness.
