The Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation is set to host the second edition of the international scientific sports conference titled “Taaluq” on February 7 at the University of Sharjah. This event is part of the associated activities for the eighth edition of the Arab Women’s Clubs Sports Games. The conference serves as a specialized international platform aimed at linking scientific research with practical application in women’s sports, attracting a select group of academics, researchers, and experts in sports medicine and sciences, alongside coaches, referees, and professionals dedicated to enhancing female athletic performance on both Arab and international stages.
Focus on Innovative Integration
In its 2026 session, the conference will concentrate on the theme “Integrating Movement in Education,” which stands as a contemporary scientific approach designed to promote holistic health, improve quality of life, and support the development of more effective and sustainable educational patterns within a knowledge-based environment grounded in evidence-based practices. The emphasis on this theme underscores a commitment to advancing women’s health and education through physical activity, creating a cohesive framework for better opportunities in sports and academia.
Scientific Foundations of Movement
Maryam Al Shehhi, a physiologist with the Scientific Research and Sports Performance Development Center affiliated with the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation, emphasized that the conference is rooted in a strong scientific belief: “Movement forms the foundation for integrated health and balanced growth, rather than being a secondary element in a woman’s life.” This focus on the integration of movement within educational settings reflects a research and application trend that contributes positively to improving health, mental well-being, and social quality of life, paving the way for more impactful and sustainable educational and athletic practices.
Call for Research Papers
The Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation has announced the opening of submissions for research papers to be presented at the conference. This initiative not only amplifies the importance of scientific inquiry in the sporting arena but also encourages the contribution of innovative ideas and discoveries that could shape the future of women’s sports. By inviting scholars and practitioners to participate, the conference aims to foster a collaborative atmosphere that enhances the discourse around women’s athletics and education.
