Sharjah Taxi has announced that it has completed one million trips through the Yango app since the digital booking service was launched in February 2025, reflecting growing demand for smart mobility solutions and users’ confidence in the company’s digital services. The milestone also supports efforts to improve transport efficiency and enhance the public transport experience in the emirate of Sharjah.
Digital booking and passenger convenience
The service allows users to book taxis quickly and easily through the app, while also offering trip tracking, access to journey details and electronic payment options. These features align with government digital transformation efforts and help raise the quality of services provided to customers.
Sharjah Taxi said the app is designed to provide a smoother and more flexible travel experience, making it easier for customers to manage their journeys and interact with the service in real time.
Company comments on the milestone
Khaleid Al Kindi, General Manager of Sharjah Taxi, said: “The achievement of one million trips through the Yango app reflects the success of our efforts to develop smart transport services and meet customers’ expectations by providing modern, safe and easy-to-use mobility solutions. Improving service quality
The app enables customers to track their trips live, view journey details and rate both the service and the driver. Sharjah Taxi said this helps improve demand distribution and response levels, with a positive impact on the quality of life for users.
