The Sharjah Private Education Authority has announced that private nurseries within government facilities and commercial buildings in the Emirate of Sharjah are ready to welcome children starting Thursday, April 16, 2026. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to ensure a safe and supportive environment for young learners, with specific conditions outlined for nursery operations.
Announcement from the Authority
The directive from the Sharjah Private Education Authority aligns with recent decisions made by the Council of Education, Human Development, and Community. The authority has formally confirmed the readiness of various nurseries to receive children, highlighting a commitment to safety and quality in early childhood education.
Conditions for Reopening
While the openings are scheduled, the authority emphasized that nurseries must complete the training of their administrative and educational staff on emergency and crisis protocols. This step is vital to ensuring a secure atmosphere where children can thrive. The training will equip the staff with the necessary skills to handle any unforeseen situations effectively.
A Focus on Safety
The health and well-being of children remain a top priority for the Sharjah Private Education Authority. By mandating the completion of staff training, the authority is taking proactive steps to foster a nurturing environment that prioritizes safety amid ongoing public health challenges. This ensures that as children return to their nurseries, they will be in an environment that is both secure and conducive to learning.
Looking Forward to a New Beginning
The readiness of nurseries in Sharjah marks a significant milestone in the return to regular educational activities. Families are encouraged to engage proactively with their local nurseries to understand the measures being implemented. This communication will help ensure that children transition smoothly back into their early learning environments, where they can grow and develop in a safe setting.
