Sharjah Unveils Innovative Rental Services on Aqari Platform

The emirate of Sharjah is embracing the future with the launch of fully revamped rental services on the Aqari platform. This significant upgrade is part of the broader Digital Sharjah initiative, aimed at enhancing real estate transactions through a more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly digital ecosystem.

The Sharjah Digital Department, in partnership with the Sharjah Municipality, has introduced a package of rental services designed to eliminate inefficient paper-based processes. This shift not only streamlines operations but also fosters a sustainable and fully integrated model for real estate transactions across the emirate.

By bringing all rental procedures under a unified system, the revised Aqari platform enhances transparency and simplifies administrative tasks. This transition accelerates service delivery for residents, investors, and businesses alike, aligning perfectly with government objectives to enhance digitalization. Such improvements promote better access to real estate services while minimizing delays and complexities.

The enhanced Aqari platform now includes a variety of services, such as digital lease contract management for all types of properties, a range of payment options, and personalized user dashboards. Users can quickly log in through UAE Pass to retrieve their contract and property details seamlessly.

Sharjah Advances Real Estate Digitalization

A notable feature of this upgrade is the integration with various governmental bodies, allowing residents to handle property transitions digitally. This includes direct connections with the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority and other key entities.

Officials highlighted the transformation as a significant advancement in automation, with an impressive 95 percent of processes now fully digital and requiring minimal human oversight. The new system allows for lease contracts to be finalized through straightforward steps, from registration to instant issuance, significantly reducing processing times and associated paperwork.

Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director-General of the Sharjah Digital Department and Chairman of the Committee for the Integrated Real Estate Services Platform Project Aqari, underscored that the revamped rental services reflect Sharjah’s commitment to enhancing governmental efficiency. He stated, “At Sharjah Digital Department, we are dedicated to building advanced infrastructure and delivering sustainable, proactive solutions that empower government partners across the emirate to achieve full digital integration.”

He further emphasized that this upgrade signifies a new era in Sharjah’s digital transformation, stating, “This launch marks a new phase in Sharjah’s digital transformation, moving beyond automation towards true digital integration, with measurable impact on the emirate’s economy and service ecosystem.”

Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director-General of Sharjah Municipality, echoed the importance of digital transformation as the emirate continues to grow. He noted that the collaboration with the Sharjah Digital Department has not only streamlined processes but also nurtured customer-centric solutions, significantly enhancing the services offered within the real estate sector.
