Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, a subsidiary of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, has unveiled an exciting array of programmes and workshops for October, aimed at providing its members with new spaces for exploration, learning, and experience across various domains. These encompass life skills, arts and literature, sports, science and technology, as well as heritage and sustainability.
Exploring Agriculture and Sustainability
Throughout the month, Sajaya will take participants on a journey that combines knowledge and practical application. One notable initiative is the “Towards a Green Soil” programme, which educates young women on utilising organic waste to create natural fertiliser. Complementing this is the “My Sustainable Garden” experience, which strengthens their connection to nature and encourages the adoption of sustainable practices.
Embracing Emirati Heritage
The Emirati heritage will also be prominently featured in the October programmes, showcasing experiences that highlight authentic Emirati life. Activities include exploring the Emirati tradition (Al Sennah), visiting typical Emirati homes, and learning about the historical adornments of women. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to visit the Museum of Traditional Crafts and “In the Memory of Sharjah,” granting them closer insights into the customs, traditions, and crafts that have shaped the UAE community’s memory.
Artistic Expression and Creativity
In the realm of art, participants will transform their ideas into personal expressions through a variety of creative workshops. Options range from “Create Your Make-Up” and “Be Creative with Us” to “Bead Art,” “Decorated Memories,” mural painting, and the “From Reality to Imagination” program. The curriculum will also include piano lessons and theatrical training, offering girls a platform to experiment, express themselves, and develop their artistic and creative skills.
Literary Adventures and Storytelling
The arts and literature programmes will open another window to imagination through workshops such as “Fantasy World” and “Conscious Literature.” Participants will also engage with the Sharjah International Storytelling Festival and visit the Sharjah 2026 Animation Conference and the International Children and Youth Film Festival, allowing them to delve into the realms of storytelling, animation, and filmmaking.

In the fields of science and technology, young women will partake in hands-on experiences with VEX V5 mobile robotics, scientific launches, and drones.
