His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, chaired the meeting held this morning at the Ruler’s office, attended by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council. During the meeting, several topics related to the performance of government departments and agencies were discussed, along with updates on developmental projects across various cities and regions of the emirate.
Details of the Assistance Decision
In accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, a decision has been issued to grant additional qualitative assistance aimed at enhancing the social and economic stability of citizen families. The assistance includes support for the elderly, individuals with disabilities, and bedridden patients, enabling beneficiaries to manage their living affairs with efficiency and independence.
Eligible Groups
The decision specifies the eligible groups for assistance based on defined criteria, including heads of families, bedridden elderly individuals, bedridden individuals with disabilities, and dependent elderly individuals. General and specific conditions regarding the amount of assistance have also been established, along with the necessary executive decisions to implement the decision effectively.
Another Draft Law
Additionally, the council has approved a draft law aimed at repealing certain provisions of Law No. (11) of 2017 concerning the regulation of the Environment and Natural Reserves Authority in the Emirate of Sharjah. The draft has been referred to the Sharjah Consultative Council to complete its legislative cycle, reflecting the Sharjah Executive Council’s commitment to developing laws in line with community requirements.
