Sharjah Charity Launches New Humanitarian Projects in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan

الشارقة 24 – وام:

The Sharjah Charity Association, led by Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board, has inaugurated several humanitarian projects in the Republics of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. These initiatives were funded by donations collected through the “Al-Reeh Al-Mursala” programme, broadcasted by the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority.

Extensive Health and Educational Projects

The launched projects comprise health clinics, schools, and water supply networks, with a total investment exceeding 9 million Dirhams. Thousands of residents, students, orphans, and families in the targeted areas are set to benefit from these vital services.

Highlights of the Tajikistan Projects

In Tajikistan, the delegation inaugurated several key facilities, including the Al-Reeh Al-Mursala clinic, which serves approximately 4,000 beneficiaries. Additionally, the Shamsa Al-Sarkal Orphanage was opened, catering to 104 orphans, along with Al-Muhsinoon School, which accommodates 240 students.

Furthermore, the Shamsa Al-Sarkal Village was introduced, built at a cost of 2.7 million Dirhams, designed to support 25 families. This village features 25 fully equipped homes, a four-classroom school, and a medical clinic. A comprehensive water project was also established, including a 120-metre deep artesian well, water tank, and networked distribution system to supply water to the residents, alongside an electrical transformer and several projects aimed at benefiting productive families.

Initiatives in Kyrgyzstan

In Kyrgyzstan, the association’s delegation opened a medical clinic aimed at providing healthcare services to over 25,000 individuals, featuring 12 treatment rooms and various medical facilities. The newly established Al-Reeh Al-Mursala water network extends for 15 kilometres, ensuring adequate water supply for 700 families.

Another medical clinic was inaugurated, specifically targeting the needs of around 3,000 beneficiaries. The Sela Al-Khayr School, with an investment of 1.4 million Dirhams, comprises 7 classrooms and serves 196 students. Additionally, the Sahab Al-Khayr water network is expected to benefit approximately 4,000 individuals. Furthermore, the national hospital received advanced eye surgery equipment valued at 2.3 million Dirhams, enhancing healthcare services for eye patients.

Emphasising the Importance of Community Support

Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi expressed that these newly launched projects exemplify the association’s commitment to converting donor contributions into tangible solutions addressing the fundamental needs of beneficiaries in these countries. Many recipients reside in remote areas lacking essential healthcare, education services, and potable water.

He also noted that these projects reflect a fruitful collaboration between the association and the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, made possible through the generosity of supporters of the Al-Reeh Al-Mursala programme. The diversity of the initiatives underscores the varying needs within the beneficiary communities, ensuring that support is directed towards sectors closely linked to the residents’ daily lives.
