The Sharjah Committee for Complementary Grants has recently convened to discuss and approve new support initiatives for retirees in the emirate. Chaired by Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, a member of the Executive Council of Sharjah and Head of the Human Resources Department, the meeting aimed to enhance social support systems and review ongoing activities related to the supplementary grants.
Approval of New Applications
During the session, the committee approved 34 new applications that meet the criteria for receiving the supplementary grants designed for retirees. The total annual financial commitment for the approved applications amounts to approximately AED 1,711,200. Funds will be disbursed directly into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts, ensuring timely support.

The committee emphasised its unwavering commitment to the continuous updating of data and the meticulous review of applications. This approach is fundamental to expanding the social safety net and enhancing the quality of life for Sharjah’s citizens. By adopting efficient processes, the committee aims to ensure that all eligible retirees receive the support they need.
