Return of Quality Assurance Visits to Private Schools in Dubai for the Next Academic Year
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai is preparing to resume Quality Assurance visits to private schools starting from the 2026-2027 academic year. This decision is part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at enhancing the quality of education in the emirate, ensuring an educational experience that meets the highest standards and fulfills the expectations of parents. This initiative is considered a key step in developing curricula and strengthening academic institutions, contributing to improved academic achievement and education quality in Dubai.
Continuous Improvement and Student Experience
Through the resumption of Quality Assurance visits, the KHDA aims to support private schools in achieving the goals of the Dubai Education Strategy 2033, which focuses on elevating the educational experience. Fatima Ibrahim Al-Ruhaiyf, Executive Director of the Quality Assurance and Compliance Foundation, revealed that these visits will be based on a specific framework of standards to ensure transparency and clarity for educational leaders.
Advanced Methodology for Quality Assurance
The Quality Assurance visits will rely on a data-driven methodology, achieved through the analysis of accurate information about schools, as well as performance data and self-assessment results. Through this approach, the evaluation team will be able to identify the needs of each school and tailor the visit accordingly, ensuring systematic and effective support.
Comprehensive Coverage and Enhanced Transparency
There will be two types of visits: the initial visit will include a comprehensive assessment with a team of specialized evaluators, culminating in a detailed report addressing all aspects of school quality. The second type is a follow-up visit, focusing on specific areas through data analysis, allowing for immediate feedback on strengths and areas needing development.
Flexibility and Realism in Evaluation
One distinctive aspect of the return of Quality Assurance visits is that schools will be notified 24 hours before the visit. This measure aims to reduce preparation time and provide a true reflection of the educational reality in schools, enhancing the quality of the evaluation and making the information more realistic and practical.
As the date for resuming these visits approaches, the KHDA is working to ensure effective partnerships with school leaders and the community to achieve high-quality education, considered a fundamental pillar for raising educational standards in Dubai. All eyes are currently on the future, as these visits are expected to significantly impact improving education quality and boosting parents’ confidence.
These efforts emphasize that Quality Assurance visits are not only a measure of quality but also a step towards achieving exceptional education that aligns with global aspirations.
