The Billion Followers Summit has announced a groundbreaking partnership with global content creator MrBeast (James Steven Donaldson) to launch the “1 Billion Acts of Kindness” initiative. This initiative aims to spearhead the largest global community movement driven by content creators, focused on promoting a culture of purposeful and community-driven content. Supported by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation and the Varkey Foundation, this campaign seeks to inspire individuals worldwide to engage in impactful community work.
Launch of the Initiative
Launched yesterday, the campaign features MrBeast, who boasts over 873 million social media followers and more than 62 billion annual views on his videos. He has challenged content creators across the globe to participate by sharing one billion meaningful community activities in various countries, aiming to transform individual actions into a global humanitarian movement.
How to Participate
Content creators are invited to submit videos that focus on community service and positive impact, ranging from local volunteering to supporting global issues. Submissions will be accepted until December 1, 2025. After evaluation, ten standout content creators will be spotlighted during the fourth Billion Followers Summit, set to occur from January 9 to 11, 2026, in Dubai, where they will lead a significant global community initiative.
Collaboration and Impact
The 2026 Billion Followers Summit will host MrBeast, who will unveil the participating content creators and strategic partners. The ten selected creators will collaborate with MrBeast and his team to create impactful community activities, resulting in several videos featured on MrBeast’s platform. The humanitarian efforts will encompass volunteering for the elderly, individuals with disabilities, and the homeless, organizing community services, raising awareness about social issues, and conducting donation drives and tree-planting initiatives.
Submission Guidelines and Evaluation Criteria
Participating content must include the hashtags #1BillionSummit and #1BKindness. Submissions will be reviewed by the Billion Followers Summit, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation, the Varkey Foundation, and the Best Industries team. Selection criteria will focus on originality, narrative impact, creativity, and positive influence.
Alta Hamadi, Deputy Director of the Media Office for the UAE government and Director of the Billion Followers Summit, stated, “Through this partnership in launching the campaign, the summit aims to achieve a qualitative shift in leveraging the power of digital content for major humanitarian causes, aligning with the summit’s mission that believes content creators have the influence to make a positive difference in society.”
