DUBAI: The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has announced record annual results for 2025, reaffirming Dubai’s status as a leading global financial hub in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia. The number of active registered companies at the centre has now exceeded 8,844, reflecting a 28% increase compared to 2024. Additionally, the number of new active companies rose by approximately 2,525, marking a growth of 39% compared to the previous year, indicating the centre’s attractiveness as a strategic gateway to global and regional financial markets. Total revenues for 2025 surged by an unprecedented 20%, reaching AED 2.13 billion, up from AED 1.78 billion in 2024. Net profits also saw a rise of 28%, amounting to AED 1.48 billion compared to AED 1.16 billion in 2024.

Throughout 2025, the financial ecosystem of the UAE’s DIFC continued to grow at a pace faster than the market, contributing to Dubai’s transformation into a significant global hub for financial services. The Centre remains the preferred destination for financial firms aiming to access regional and global markets. It houses the largest network of regulated financial services in the region, with over 1,052 companies including regional headquarters for more than 290 banks and capital market institutions, 135 insurance and reinsurance companies, 70 brokerage firms, and more than 500 wealth and asset management entities.
Major clients that joined the centre in 2025 include Cambridge Associates, Capital Land, China International Capital Corporation, Delocal, Howden Re Insurance, and many others. The centre currently hosts over 500 wealth and asset management firms, reflecting a 22% increase in 2025. Additionally, the establishment of 1,289 family business entities represents a remarkable 61% annual growth. During the Family Wealth Summit 2025, the Centre announced the launch of the “Next Generation Leaders Program,” set to commence in 2026. This initiative aims to equip the next generation of family business leaders with training, mentoring, and best practices in governance and innovation.
The Largest Community of Financial Talent
The Dubai International Financial Centre has become the largest and densest gathering of financial talent in the region, with over 50,200 professionals operating within the sector. In 2025, the centre created more than 4,122 new jobs, representing a 9% increase, with a diverse workforce where women constitute 36% and men 64% of employees. Through the Centre’s Academy and Dubai Artificial Intelligence Academy, efforts to develop a growing community of talent continue to highlight commitment to economic development and competitiveness.
In alignment with Dubai’s ambition to set regional standards, new regulations for financial capital companies and amendments to laws on guarantee, insolvency, and employment are proposed as part of the DIFC’s legal reform framework. Selected to host the annual meeting of the Global Privacy Assembly in 2026, the centre continues to demonstrate its esteemed role in data protection and regulatory frameworks’ development at the regional level.
