Lebanon Condemns Hezbollahs Role in UAE Terror Plot

Lebanon‘s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has condemned the involvement of Hezbollah in a terrorist plot targeting the United Arab Emirates. The statement underscores Lebanon’s commitment to cooperating fully in the investigations to hold accountable those responsible. This incident highlights growing concerns over the regional influence of Hezbollah and its implications for national security in Lebanon and beyond.

Condemnation from Lebanese Authorities

In a statement issued yesterday, the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its strong condemnation of the terrorist plot aimed at the UAE and denounced Hezbollah’s involvement. The ministry reminded that on March 2, 2026, the Lebanese government enacted a ban on Hezbollah’s military and security activities. This reiteration of policy reflects a unified stance against activities that threaten stability.

Support for UAE’s Security Efforts

The statement praised the vigilance of the Emirati security forces and affirmed Lebanon’s readiness to collaborate in ongoing investigations. “Lebanon expresses its complete solidarity with the United Arab Emirates, which has always supported us through difficult times,” the ministry noted. Such expressions of solidarity are crucial in fostering closer ties and shared security objectives between the two nations.

Uncovering the Terror Network

Early yesterday, the State Security apparatus announced the dismantling of a terrorist network funded and directed by Hezbollah and Iran. This group, operating under the pretext of bogus commercial activities, sought to infiltrate the national economy and implement foreign schemes threatening the financial stability of the UAE. The security agency emphasized that any attempt to exploit the national economy for terrorist or conspiratorial purposes would be met with decisive action.

Wider Regional Implications

Just days ago, Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior revealed it had apprehended members of a terrorist organization associated with Hezbollah. This group aimed to destabilize Kuwait by recruiting individuals to join their ranks. Investigations uncovered a well-organized plan involving 14 Kuwaiti nationals and two Lebanese citizens, posing a direct threat to national security. The presence of weapons and other illicit materials further underscores the serious risks posed by such organizations.

The Ministry of Interior reiterated that the security and sovereignty of Kuwait is non-negotiable, vowing to respond firmly to any collusion with external terrorist entities. Such developments highlight the breadth of Hezbollah’s influence in the region and the collaborative efforts across nations to counter threats that disrupt peace and stability.
