Leaders Advocate Dialogue to Address Regional Challenges

The recent meeting between the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić highlighted the critical need for dialogue to address regional issues. Both leaders recognized the escalating military tensions and their implications for peace and security, emphasizing that discussing solutions through conversation aligns with the growing consensus that peaceful negotiations are essential for stability. The discussion stressed the necessity of resolving these matters to foster regional collaboration and understanding.

Iranian Terrorist Attacks Against the UAE and Regional Countries

During the meeting, both sides discussed the ongoing Iranian terrorist attacks against the UAE and regional countries, which target civilians, civilian facilities, and infrastructure, representing a violation of these nations’ sovereignty and international laws. Vučić condemned these attacks, reaffirming Serbia‘s solidarity with the UAE and its full support for any measures taken to defend its security and stability and ensure the safety of its territory and citizens.

Both sides emphasized the urgent need to immediately halt escalating military actions and resort to serious dialogue and diplomatic solutions to address the region’s outstanding issues, thereby preserving security and stability and preventing further tension and crises.

Cooperation and Joint Work Between the Two Countries

Additionally, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and President Vučić discussed various aspects of cooperation and joint work between their countries, reaffirming their commitment to continue enhancing these efforts in a manner that serves their developmental priorities and mutual interests, benefiting both peoples within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership and economic cooperation between the two nations.

Earlier, President Vučić arrived in the UAE, where he was welcomed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and several sheikhs, ministers, and officials.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President, and several officials.
