In a new step to develop the transportation system in the UAE, the Integrated Transport Center announced the launch of version two (Fusion V2.0) during the Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit 2026. This advanced version reflects significant progress in data analysis and traffic management, contributing to improved transportation efficiency and enhancing efforts toward the transition to smart mobility systems. These improvements make integrated transport a strategic option to meet infrastructure needs and urban growth.
The summit took place on May 15, 2026, where the Integrated Transport Center highlighted its vital role in developing the transportation network in the emirate. The new version (Fusion V2.0) is equipped with 3D simulation technology, which reduces the time required for traffic study analysis by up to 40%. This technology enhances modeling accuracy and data analysis, thereby improving planning effectiveness and response speed to current traffic challenges.
Additionally, the central platform for traffic management in Abu Dhabi was showcased, relying on artificial intelligence systems to monitor and direct traffic flow. This platform integrates over 1,500 surveillance cameras, 253 vehicle sensors, and 922 traffic signals. It represents an important step toward achieving the vision of integrated transport by improving safety and reducing traffic accidents.
During the summit, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Integrated Transport Center and the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, focusing on using the “Fleets” platform to issue gas and petroleum transport permits. Dr. Abdullah Hamad Al-Ghafli, Acting Director General of the Integrated Transport Center, stated that “this collaboration serves as a model for government integration that enhances digital efficiency.”
Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Obaidli, Director General of Regulatory Affairs at the Department of Energy, added that “these agreements reflect the Department of Energy’s commitment to enhancing government integration and developing a more efficient infrastructure ready for the future,” emphasizing the importance of strategic partnerships in supporting the mechanization of operations and the transportation of petroleum products.
Thanks to developments such as version two (Fusion V2.0) and effective collaboration between institutions, integrated transport is moving toward achieving sustainable development goals and smart urban expansion, reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to achieving the highest standards of efficiency in transport and traffic management.
