The Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination has called on people with ideas and initiatives to contribute proposals for the programmes and activities they would like to see featured at its pavilion at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which will take place from 13 to 18 September 2026. The organisation said the contributions may include awareness sessions, reading corners, interactive activities, children’s events, as well as any innovative ideas that could enrich the visitor experience and strengthen the cultural and knowledge content.
Open call for ideas
The organisation said it has opened the door to receiving ideas and proposals for participation in designing and enriching its pavilion at the fair, stressing its belief that knowledge is created through partnership. It said it aims to offer an inspiring cultural and intellectual experience that reflects the abilities of People of Determination and celebrates their creativity.
It also urged anyone with an idea, talent or knowledge-based experience worthy of sharing to take the initiative and submit it to the organisation. In particular, it invited People of Determination who wish to take part through their skills, talents and experiences to participate, noting that the pavilion will serve as a platform to showcase their capabilities and creativity and to strengthen their active presence in the cultural scene, in a way that reinforces the values of inclusiveness, empowerment and community participation.
Six conditions for participation
The organisation said all proposals and contributions will be assessed by the organising committee, and that six conditions must be met for participation: the participant must be a person of determination; the submission must present meaningful knowledge or cultural content; the material must be suitable for all age groups and respect community values; the participant must adhere to the duration of the presentation and the specified timings; the participant must comply with the instructions of the organising body; and, preferably, the contribution should include an interactive element that helps engage visitors.
This is intended to pave the way for approving initiatives that align with the pavilion’s objectives and contribute to delivering a rich and impactful cultural experience for fair visitors.
