The humanitarian ship “Um Al Emarat” has successfully arrived at the port of Al-Arish in the Arab Republic of Egypt, carrying over 7,300 tons of various relief supplies aimed at supporting Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip. This mission is part of the ongoing humanitarian efforts of the UAE under the operation “Al-Faris Al-Shaham 3,” which was initiated under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. The initiative aims to alleviate the suffering of civilians and meet their basic needs amidst the challenging humanitarian circumstances.
Warm Welcome at Al-Arish Port
Upon its arrival at Al-Arish Port, the humanitarian ship “Um Al Emarat” was welcomed by the UAE Ambassador to Egypt, Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, along with a high-level delegation from various charitable and humanitarian organizations in the UAE. They were accompanied by partners from Egypt who reviewed the protocols for receiving, unloading, and transporting the humanitarian aid to the UAE’s humanitarian logistics center in Al-Arish.
A Commitment to Sustained Support
Ambassador Al Zaabi emphasized that the continuous flow of UAE humanitarian assistance for over two and a half years through the UAE Humanitarian Aid Team and the “Al-Faris Al-Shaham 3” initiative exemplifies the UAE’s steadfast commitment to supporting Palestinian brothers. He stated, “Humanitarian work is a sustainable approach that never ceases.”
Comprehensive Humanitarian Aid
The cargo of the ship includes food supplies, shelter materials, and health and medical necessities, prepared in collaboration with 16 charitable and humanitarian institutions from various Emirates. This comprehensive effort is part of the integrated Emirati humanitarian system aimed at supporting food security and enhancing the urgent humanitarian response for affected families in Gaza.
Streamlined Operations for Aid Delivery
The UAE Humanitarian Aid Team has initiated the processes for receiving the ship, starting the unloading of supplies, and transporting them to the logistics center in Al-Arish. This is being conducted in coordination with humanitarian partners and relevant authorities to ensure the swift delivery of aid to those in need.
The “Um Al Emarat” humanitarian ship is the thirteenth vessel dispatched by the UAE to support Palestinian brothers in Gaza, reinforcing the ongoing dedication to humanitarian efforts in the region.
