Starting on Wednesday, October 14, this vibrant festival promises to deliver excitement and cultural experiences for visitors over the next eight months, concluding in May 2027.
What to Expect This Season?
As always, Global Village is gearing up to introduce a host of thrilling new features designed to entice both returning visitors and newcomers alike. With over three decades of history, the attraction has drawn in millions since its inception in 1997. Guests can look forward to an array of immersive pavilions, live entertainment, and world-class dining options that celebrate the diversity of cultures across the globe. Moreover, shoppers will find countless opportunities to explore unique retail offerings.
A Brief History of Global Village
The journey of Global Village is quite remarkable. It all began in 1996 at Creekside, where the very first Global Village hosted just a handful of kiosks opposite the Dubai Municipality. By 1997, the event expanded significantly, showcasing 18 country pavilions. The attraction continued to flourish, and by 2005 the number of participating countries had tripled to an impressive 46.
Global Village has experienced several relocations over the years, having been held in Oud Metha near Wafi City before moving to Dubai Festival City for three years. However, as visitor numbers surged, a new, permanent location was established at Dubailand to accommodate the growing demand.
