The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, in collaboration with the Roads and Transport Authority, the Emirates Automotive Club, and the “Aamer” Centre, has launched an instant international driving license issuance service at Dubai International Airport. This new initiative allows Emirati citizens and residents holding valid UAE driving licenses to complete the transaction in just five minutes.
Convenient Service for Travellers
Dubai’s Residency Department has announced that the service is available at the Customer Happiness Centre located in Terminal 3 in the arrivals area and operates 24/7. This initiative aims to facilitate travel processes and provide essential travel-related services at key locations. To benefit from this service, customers must present their UAE identity card, a valid UAE driving license, a copy of their passport, and a passport-size photo.
Seamless Digital Integration
The service utilises a digital link between the participating authorities, enabling the verification of customer data and the electronic approval of requests, resulting in the immediate issuance of the international driving license.
